Butchart Gardens Brentwood Bay, BC May 6th 2005
Heading out from the marina 6:40 am
I even had to wake the Seals up.
Entering the Majestic Tod Inlet
~
Sun Rays dance across the calm water from above Butchart Gardens
I was not alone this "Flamingo Eagle" ( extremely rare ) was patiently waiting for me.
This was the first of several Indian Burial Caves
Not much left in this one, 2 Spanish Gold Coins, Half a Tomahawk, a Church Key and a Skull.
Hmmmmm BBQ Duck for lunch ?
This Cave was much more interesting. A small purse containing 23 silver coins a pair of solid Gold Indian Salad tongs from the Hudson Bay Company and a very old Visa card.
The Ghostly remains of the historic Fort Butchart After the Longshoremen's Picnic
These pillars once supported the Casino at the Butchart Brothel the home of the Henshall Can Can Show Lounge named after, Oh never mind...
We don't have any resorts in this area, but I stumbled across this one, it's not in the RCI Catalogue,
But When Price is everything...
It's rated a Minus 3 - Star Rusted Crown that's below a condemned Motel Six In a Power Outage.
It sleeps ? ? , well we are not sure ?
Oh, If only these pillars could talk.
There were many of these Star Fish here, we asked the locals about them, and why they were named "Star Fish" no one seemed to know ?
This Cave looked "Scary" looked like it was guarded by some kind of Voo Doo mask.
We tossed 2 sticks of CIL to widen the opening a little and this had a reversed effect
Hmmmmm ?
This Cave was below the water line.
Homeward Bound
this was a bonus, usually I have to add lens flares.
This was a short cut back to the marina.
Enjoy * Doc~
